Hip Hop Instructor

Ideal candidates have a strong dance background in hip hop dance and variety of other dance styles. Must be able to teach all ages and levels with patience and professionalism. You would be responsible for your own set of classes each week, approximately 10 – 15 dancers with a mix of Recreational and Competitive. You would also be responsible for choreography for a holiday show and end of year recital. Candidates should be able to stay current on today's dance trends and techniques, be a self-starter, and be able to get along with others. The ideal candidate has a genuine love for teaching children and being a positive influence in their life.

You must be able to TEACH, not just SHOW, have strong interpersonal skills, as well as organizational skills, and be comfortable preparing lesson plans for your classes.

Step It Up is hiring a dance teacher for the following classes:

Hip Hop level 1, 2, 3 ages 5-18, beginning- adv. intermediate levels

Our hip hop classes are typically held on Tuesday’s, 4:30 - 7:30 and are 45 mins in length. We will be willing to work with changing time schedules if needed.

Instructors are expected to commit to a season. Season will run from September 2020 – May 2021.

Must be 18 years or older

Part time instructors have to opportunity to grow into teaching additional classes or competitive choreography if interested. Pay rate will be negotiated in interview and higher rate negotiable based on experience.
